Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this very hard to find French faience oil lamp luminaire.
Made by Roger Colas who started to work in the Clamecy faience factory in 1925 and when the owner retired, he sold the factory to Roger Colas in 1937. The Clamecy faience factory was nationally renowned for the quality of their items and the decor made these pieces extreamly sought after.
Roger Colas brought back the decors of the no longer existing factories of Strasbourg, Marseille, Montpellier and others.
This oil lamp brings back the decors of Strasbourg, Les Isslettes and Luneville and will fit in nicely with any of these collections!!
It is in excellent condition and we believe this to date to the late 1930's- early 1940's due to the glass globe, if you have ever looked through old glass windows you know what I mean.
This has its original gold label as seen and on the bottom it has the model number "L662" and "Decor main" (hand decorated).
It measures 20 inches tall with the globe. This will be double boxed for safe shipping!!
Add this to your collection today or give as a fabulous gift! We do have another that is the same size and color scheme but diffrent flowers that you might want to pair up with this one.
