Back in the mid to late 1800's, the region of the Saint Clement faience factory was having a hard recession. The people who worked at the factory dwindled down from thousands to around 50 or so. They had to find a way to increase production so they decided to work with the Sarreguemines factory.
It was agreed by both parties and they registered their joint mark on Feburary 26, 1885. This collaboration lasted for 12 years and ended in 1897.
