This is a beautiful antique majolica plate made between 1818-1850. It was made by the majolica factory in Schramberg that was founded in 1818 and purchased by Villeroy & Boch and Utzschneider & Co. of Sarreguemines.
It features a mottled wine leaf with ferns and pink flowers held together with a purple bow. The rim is pearled with a Greek Key inner border. Just beautiful!
It is in excellent condition for its great age with no chips or cracks! It does have overall glaze crazing and a few glaze flakes on the back foot that are not seen.
It measures 7.75 inches in diameter, the perfect size for display or use!
