Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this lovely covered sugar bowl and creamer set.
Made by the Francis Masse factory in Desvres, France between 1903-1948.
Each piece features the armorals of Mont Saint Michel with two lions holding a crowned shield. The lions on the creamer are greenish and the lions on the sugar are an ocher brown.
The lid to the sugar bowl is like the large coffee/tea pot we have in our store where they used a brown color that gives an odd rough feel to the touch. If you would like to see the teapot type in ff416 into my store search or go to items For Your Table in my Categories.
The sugar bowl measures about 8 inches wide from handle to handle, 5.5 inches wide with out handles and stands 5 inches tall with lid. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks!!
The sugar bowl measures 5 inches from spout to handle, 4 inches wide and stands 3.75 inches tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few spots of glaze skips on the rim which is normal and to be expected.
The creamer is marked on the bottom "Mont.Saint. Michel" "2677" and the lidded sugar bowl is marked on the bottom "Mont. Saint. Michel" "2611".
This will make a beautiful set on your table in the morning or for afternoon tea!
