Offered for your private collection is this fabulous antique Hand Painted french faience charger.
It is unmarked but we believe it to come form Luneville or the Strasbourg region of France and was made before 1880.
It is very beautiful with three reticulated or lace cut sections of the rim where you can lace a satin ribbon through in order to hang this on your wall!
In between the reticulated sections are three cartouche with a butterfly or a moth and some other type of bug.
In the center you have what looks to be a Chinese monk looking over his shoulder holding a dove or some type of bird in the middle of a field with flowers and vegetation all around. Just beautiful!
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks!
We do have 7 plates available. All have stilt marks on the front and back from being fired in the kiln, this is normal and expected with antique faience and majolica.
It measures 10.5 inches wide.
Add this to your personal collection today or give as a fabulous antique gift!
